Prairie Isle Golf Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Prairie Grove, Illinois.
Prairie Isle Golf Club first opened for play in 1994. The course was designed by Gordon Cunningham.
This target course was built on rolling terrain, shot placement is critical. The greens are large and undulating, and there are lakes that come into play on nine holes.
#7, a 564 yard par-5 is the number one handicap hole. Distance is a factor, but the placement of your drive and the second shot is the key to this hole. The large green is elevated and requires an accurate approach shot or the large, left, greenside trap will get your ball.
#8, a 158-yard, par 3 is the signature hole. The challenge starts with a tee shot from off an elevated tee to an island green. The tripled tier tees present a tight shot to a green surrounded by water. A crisply hit iron is a must. Bring your straight shot and camera with you on this picturesque hole!
#17, the final par 3 on the course measures 175 yards. This is the easiest hole on the course, but no pushover. The green is guarded by a pond on the right side. A severely sloped, downhill green makes putting on this hole very tricky. The Wind can also be a factor on your tee shots.
Blue tees: par-72, 6,562 yards, 70.8 / 124
White tees: par-72, 6,196 yards, 69.8 / 121
Red tees: par-73, 5,398 yards, 71.3 / 117

Play here 6-10 times a year. First time out this year and it is clear maintenance isn't high on their priority list! Fairways full of weeds and in need of fertilizing...several greens with brown spots (no grass) and/or weeds. What is going on...in much better shape last year!
